The California Performing Arts Foundation is proud to launch its inaugural project, "Stories of Innocence", an album dedicated to highlighting wrongful incarcerations through original songs composed and performed by a dozen or so artists. The project aims to educate and inform audiences about these injustices, with benefit concerts featuring live performances of the songs supplemented by relevant speakers, including invited experts. The album will present various perspectives on wrongful incarcerations, such as those of the convicted, prosecutors, judges, jurors, and law enforcement officials. To provide accurate and verified information to accompany the songs, the project will feature articles written by volunteer writers who conduct interviews with the subjects, ensuring that only those who give permission and are willing to participate are featured in the project.
